Is This Right For Me?

Do you know what's missing from most NCLEX review courses?

Total comprehension.

Meaning that most courses are designed to focus on one specific element.

For example, courses that are just about content, courses that are just about strategy, courses/reviews that are JUST questions.

Not this one. We designed it with the test taker in mind by encompassing ALL of the elements to successfully passing in addition to addressing the WHOLE individual through motivational audios, prayer and support group, healthy choices while studying and more.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Hey! I'm Nurse Chioma

The founder of Choosing Nursing and I have helped over 1,000 nurse graduates to pass their NCLEX exam especially after not passing it before. When I was in nursing school, I went through a very rigorous program that required what felt like everything from me. I got to a point in my second semester of nursing school where I was taking Medical Surgical nursing and halfway through it, my my clinical instructor told me she was going to fail me if I did not demonstrate a stronger performance (I was trying but it wasn't enough). As a result, I started attending clinicals 1 hour early every week, I spent hours working on my care plans, I went to office hours, I got nursing books I reviewed from, I worked SO hard in that second half of the semester.

And guess what happened?

My instructor still failed me.

But it was that experience that shifted me and I was still able to graduate school on time with my classmates. I know because of that experience, I took and passed my NCLEX exam less than 30 days later after finishing nursing school! I am so excited to help you through this program so you can truly succeed and go to your next level!

Meet Shakina.

Shakina Coxton, BSN Registered Nurse

Hello! I’m Shakina Coxton, a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and three years of dedicated experience in the field. My journey into nursing was driven by a profound sensitivity towards others and a deep sense of calling to service. Nursing allows me to use these gifts to bring healing and wholeness to those in need, which is both a privilege and a passion for me.

I began my career as an Operating Room Nurse, where I honed my skills in a high-stakes environment, ensuring patients received the best possible care during critical procedures. Currently, I serve as a Public Health Nurse, focusing on overseeing quality assurance reviews for healthcare providers and training Medical Assistants and Nurses on the safe administration of immunizations.

Teaching is a core aspect of my professional life, and I find great fulfillment in guiding others and sharing my knowledge. I’m also keenly aware of the challenges that come with pursuing a nursing career—having faced the difficulty of failing the NCLEX on my first attempt, I deeply empathize with those who feel overwhelmed. With perseverance and the right support, I believe anyone can overcome these hurdles and achieve their goals.

My commitment to nursing is not just about professional development but also about making a meaningful impact on the lives of others. I look forward to continuing this journey and contributing to the health and well-being of our community.
